GT40 MK2

$229,500.00

Holley Motorsports is proud to represent this low mileage Superformance GT40 MK2. A quality re-creation of the original that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions during the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966. While developing the exhilarating GT40 continuation, engineers went to great lengths to ensure authenticity as commissioned by Safir Spares. The Superformance GT40 also carries the GT40/P chassis number and is eligible for the official GT40 registry. The GT40 continuation is built to exacting standards – in fact over 80% of the rolling chassis parts are interchangeable with that of an original car, including the ‘monocoque” style chassis
Superformance GT40’s are built for the street and feature air conditioning standard just like the original GT40 street car P/1028

This particular 1965 Superformance GT40 chassis number P2166 has less than 1,500 miles on the odometer, is heavily optioned and available now. Titled as a 2009 Superformance GT40 this car has a Roush 427R engine with Silver ceramic headers and bundle of snakes. It has a 5 speed ZF transaxle with a custom Olthoff shifter. The Avon tires are new, stick like glue and have less than 25 miles on them with no track time. The custom Monza Red with Metallic Silver stripes is a special option from the factory. The seller’s late father purchased the car as a rolling chassis from D&M Motorsports of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, in 2009, and it was acquired by the seller in December 2021. The complete engine and transaxle installation and sorting was done by Olthoff racing. Olthoff has completed more GT40 installs than most any other installer in the US. The condition of this car is like new and fully sorted.
